RISE Today initiated the Fair Trade Campaign at Rice University in the fall of 2018. Since then, members, faculty, and community members have worked to promote the value behind Fair Trade on Rice campus. For example, RISE Today hosted the 2018 Fair Trade Festival and 2019 Fair Trade Fair to bring Fair Trade vendors to campus and allow members of the Rice community to first-hand learn about the many products that Fair Trade encompasses. We are currently in the process of revising and submitting the Fair Trade Resolution for approval.
